The marketing areas of the Company and its Subsidiaries cover domestic and international markets, with the main destination countries in the Asian region, such as China, India, South Korea, the Philippines, and Vietnam. In addition, the Company’s 3 Subsidiaries, namely BIB, KIM Block, and BSL, contribute to fulfilling the domestic market by supplying approximately 18.95 million tons of coal, or equivalent to 35% of total sales, as part of fulfilling the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO), which requires a minimum of 25% of production to be sold to the domestic market. The Company remains committed to prioritizing the supply of domestic coal demand, both for the electricity and non-electricity sectors.
Meanwhile, of the total coal sales volume of the Company and its Subsidiaries allocated for the export market, as many as 35.21 million tons were successfully marketed to various partner countries. China became the main destination country with a contribution of around 52% of total exports, followed by India at 6%. The remainder, around 7%, was distributed to countries in Asia, such as Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Singapore, and Australia. This achievement reflects the Company’s success in its international marketing strategy to maintain export market diversification and strengthen its position in the Asian region.
